About Mindreflex
MindReflex’s aim is to provide a supportive environment to enable people, particularly from ethnic minority backgrounds, to connect deeply, and navigate life’s challenges. We aspire to achieve this by offering a professional and welcoming community-based counselling service, positively impacting lives.
Mr. Zeyad Aljroushi
My journey as a counsellor started when I was 17 years old and I decided to give up studying medicine and switched to psychology. With my father's support and the communities needs for social help, this drove me to take my first step to become a counsellor.
After I achieved my BA Hons in psychology I worked as a school counsellor for two years in a Libyan school, I then came to UK and worked for seven years in the community with different organisations for youth and children. This made me more aware of issues and challenges that face families in our communities especially that relates to psychological factors.
After this I took my masters degree in psychology and my thesis topic was “Coping methods with stress for young Muslims in the North West of England.” Whilst I was doing my masters I’ve been working for three years supporting people with mental health issues (autism, schizophrenia, bipolar …) to enable them to interact in community and fulfil their potential.
After the pandemic I decided to invest my experience and knowledge to provide support and help for our community by using professional and modern services in my office MindReflex.
